SolarSwop is driving the development and transformation of the energy sector through implementing intelligent solutions with the view being to make clean energy accessible to every person across the African continent. We have collectively delivered over 280 MW of solar energy and aim to increase this through strategic partnerships with businesses, governments, communities and ordinary people who want to adopt clean energy as their primary energy source.
Our teams can deliver on residential, commercial and utility scale solar installations anywhere in South Africa. Outside of South Africa we can currently only deliver on commercial and utility scale projects, and are limited to the following countries: Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Zambia and Botswana.
We fundamentally believe that Sustainability and Renewable Energy will be instrumental in achieving the desired economic growth, Social Equity and Environmental Impact Mitigation. To that end we are committed to ensuring that every African has access to energy by the year 2050, which will translate into SolarSwop being Africa’s largest independent energy service provider, driving transformation across the content.
Gregory is a seasoned energy industry entrepreneur who designed and manufactured South Africa’s first SABS approved solar DC products. He is a respected consultant who has developed solutions for the renewable energy market in South Africa and helped shape the industry as a whole.
Greg is the CEO of SolarSwop and he is responsible for business’ overall delivery on the promise that our business stands on, to all our stakeholders, including our investors, customers and employees.
Hulisani Neswiswi started her career in the financial services sector working with Liberty Group for their Africa divisions. Her responsibilities over the years ranged from business development to marketing, sales and strategy management.
She then founded an investment business in 2012 where she has financed SMME’s and mentored local and women owned businesses, and consulted on energy and financial services specific issues. She is currently the CEO of Trilemma Impact Investments, a licensed financial services company, which delivers financial and insurance products into the renewable energy sector. Neil Barnard is a solar installations specialist who is ranked as one of the best installers in South Africa, he has been in the industry for over 10 years and has installed hundreds of KW’s of large and small scale systems both ground mount and roof top in South Africa and in the neighbouring countries.
He is responsible for structuring the SolarSwop project operations and overseeing utility scale project management.
